Banned Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib-Al-Hasan is all set to resume training at his alma mater, the BKSP facility in Dhaka district's Savar from September, as he eyes his international comeback later this year.

The ace all-rounder is currently under the International Cricket Council’s one-year suspension for breaching their anti-corruption code having banned from all forms of cricket on October 29, 2019, after he accepted the charges of breaching the ICC's Anti-Corruption Code.

Shakib is now eyeing an international comeback, as one of the greatest all-rounders of all-time will be eligible to play cricket again for Bangladesh on October 29, 2020.

Shakib’s mentor Nazmul Abedeen has revealed that the former Bangladesh captain is preparing to undergo a full-fledged training camp at his alma mater from next month. He is currently in the United States with his family.

As per ESPNcricinfo, Abedeen stated: “Shakib will come to the BKSP next month where he will have coaches and trainers available. We are functional as the coaches are all residing within the campus, so we can work with him well. Shakib will have everything at his disposal.”

Noteworthy, Shakib's international return will coincide with Bangladesh's likely tour of Sri Lanka in mid-October, but there is no indication from the Bangladesh Cricket Board whether he will be part of it.
