Former Australia cricketer turned pundit Dean Jones has heaped praise on Indian cricket legend, MS Dhoni, saying he is a huge fan of the veteran wicketkeeper-batsman.

Rating Dhoni among the top 6 greatest cricketers of all time for India, Jones has also revealed his favorite moment of MS while saying he can’t wait to watch the former India captain in action in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 in the UAE next month.

With his miraculous game and top-notch captaincy skills, Dhoni made a big name for himself, winning hearts across the world as well as making the country proud with his achievements.

He has achieved immense success both as a player and captain who has won all the ICC tournaments for India so far – which is making him one of the most influential persons in the world cricket.

Jones told Hindustan Times: “Look I am a huge MS Dhoni fan. I think he is among the top 6 greatest cricketers of all time for India. If he has a good IPL and the other boys don’t then come to the World Cup he might be looked at. So, it’s a big opportunity, and knowing MS he will prepare himself to absolute perfection to get himself ready for this and I hope he does well.”

Then Pakistan President Parvez Musharraf had asked Dhoni to keep his long hairOn his favorite Dhoni moment, he said: “Probably the hair cut in Pakistan. I was commentating and President Musharraf told him to keep the hair cut and said he looked good in it. He is that style of player that even presidents and prime ministers talk about him because he really captivates everyone.”

The Australian cricket pundit also believes that Dhoni has a rare ability to keep the audience on tenterhooks and his unpredictability both as a leader and as a batsman makes him a great entertainer.

Jones signed off by saying, “What he does is he makes past players like myself and people to just move forward in their seats and watch how he goes about his cricket. There aren’t too many players who could do that. If you have gone to watch a match and MS is playing, people are always on the edge of their seats because they don’t know what he is going to do next. He is a great entertainer and I hope he will have a great IPL because I am looking forward to how he plays.”
