Eid-Al-Adha is celebrated across the world including IndiaSaturday, August 1, 2020, marked the occasion of the holy Islam festival of Eid-Al-Adha. One of the two major Muslim holidays, Eid-Al-Adha is celebrated across the world.

It honors the willingness of Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son Ismael as an act of obedience to God's command. But before that could happen, God provided a lamb as a sacrifice instead.

Therefore, on this day, an animal, usually a goat or sheep, is sacrificed ritually and divided into three parts. One share is given to the poor and needy, another is kept for home, and the third is given to relatives.

Sweets and gifts are given, and the extended family is typically visited and welcomed.

The Indian Cricket fraternity, like on most festivals, took to social media and greeted the fans while wishing for peace and prosperity in everyone's lives.
