One of the best limited-overs batsmen currently, India opener Rohit Sharma was lauded by New Zealand pacer Lockie Ferguson for always being a huge threat.

Rohit, if he gets going, can destroy any bowling line-up. His ability to play long innings makes him a very competitive batsman and Ferguson agreed to it. Once Rohit settles in, he can take on any bowling attack and go past them with a little assistance from the pitch.

The kiwi pacer Ferguson accepted Rohit is very challenging to bowl. Talking to Sportskeeda, when asked about Rohit, Lockie said, “Good question, there’s quite a few. Rohit, I’ve found him very challenging."

“With him, if you don’t get him out quickly, he tends to go big. He picks up the length very quickly and where my strengths lie, batters play the wrong shot. He’s a world-class batter,” Ferguson added.

Rohit has played some big knocks in limited-overs. He has three triple centuries by his name in ODI, the only batsman to do so.

Ferguson added Australia's Steve Smith and David Warner in the list of batsmen who present a challenge for the bowlers every time they walk out. He also included the India captain Virat Kohli and called him a world-class batter.

“Steve Smith, David Warner, Virat Kohli - these guys are world-class for a reason. They’re always tough to bowl at but it feels good when you knock off the top order and have a chance to get to bowl to the middle order or the lower order,” Ferguson said.

Adding more in the praise of Rohit, he said, “Rohit, I’m a huge fan of him, I think he’s an exceptional batter.”
