Veteran Pakistan all-rounder and former captain Shoaib Malik is likely to depart for England before meeting his wife Sania Mirza and son Izhaan in India due to the travel restrictions in wake of the Coronavirus outbreak across the world.
Malik has not met his wife and son for nearly five months due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and was set to meet them in July after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) allowed the veteran to skip four weeks of training ahead of England series to be with his family.

The PCB arranged a special touring schedule for Malik so that the veteran all-rounder can join the Pakistan squad in England on July 24 after spending some time with his family in India.
However, the ongoing travel restrictions imposed due to the COVID-19 crisis has further delayed the couple’s reunion and in fact, the couple may not be able to meet after the Indian government extended their ban on the international flights till July 31.
According to PCB's release, the board will now wait till the second week of August before taking a call and Malik might have to go to England before meeting his wife and son if the travel ban is further extended in India.
