The entire country of India is heavily burdened by the increasing number of Coronavirus pandemic cases which have crossed 11.50 lakhs with more than 28,000 people dying due to the dangerous disease.

The Indian government has been trying its heart out to send out the guidelines needed in the COVID-19 pandemic. Two of the most important protocols are social distancing and keeping oneself sanitized, in order to keep the virus away from one’s body.

From PM Narendra Modi to a number of celebrities have been doing their best in order to spread awareness about social distancing, wearing masks, and keeping hands sanitized. Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu’s Tiruppur police came up with a unique way to ensure people knew about the precautionary measures.

They used MS Dhoni’s short name MSD to spread awareness about social distancing as in - Maintain Social Distancing (MSD). Given that Dhoni has a massive following in the state thanks to his enormous success with the Chennai Super Kings franchise in the IPL, winning three titles with the team as their captain since IPL 2008.

He has been adopted by the city as its son and Tiruppur police are using Dhoni’s fame and influence to make people aware of the government’s measures.
