Two of the star cricketers with a huge fan following, MS Dhoni and AB de Villiers are looking to return to international cricket. While fans wait for the two to come back, will it really be possible for them to return and make the same impact?
Cricket pundit Aakash Chopra shared his views on the trending discussion as cricket is slowly getting back with the latest rules in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dhoni has played for India since World Cup 2019 semi-final defeat, while De Villiers had already announced his retirement from international cricket. But now, there are high chances he will return for T20 World Cup.
Chopra said when it comes to Dhoni, it's up to the former India captain to take a call on his future. He added if team management is keen to get him back, his performance in IPL won't matter to them.

"When it comes to MS Dhoni, only he knows. There is nothing to talk about his form, because he hasn't played for a year now and what to say about form? I don't think his comeback is dependent on IPL," Chopra said on his YouTube show Aakash Vani.
"If he wants to play and makes himself available and India wants to pick him, then he will be fine, he will be absolutely fine."
On De Villiers, Chopra is clear that the South African batsman will return soon. He recently played in the 3 Team Cricket Solidarity Cup in Centurion.
"ABD's form is still very good. His whole comeback has been facilitated. Sooner than later, you will see him playing again. If the T20 World Cup happens this year, you can see him (playing for South Africa) this year, or if it happens in 2021, then next year. I don't think there is any problem," Chopra said.
"ABD, no doubt, he will be playing international cricket sooner than later."
