The Australian team, that has already returned to training after a lengthy hiatus, is expected to fly in a private jet to the UK and play these matches at Manchester's Old Trafford and the Ageas Bowl in Southampton,

Two venues with on-site hotels are being used to create the bio-secure bubble for players, match officials and broadcasters during the summer fixtures against West Indies, Pakistan and Ireland also.

Australia selectors named a 26-man preliminary list of players last week, out of which the final squad is set to the picked.

Ben Oliver, Cricket Australia's (CA) chief of the national teams, did say that a final decision on touring the UK will be taken based on the restrictions the visiting players will face there and on their arrival back home. CA has been in constant touch with its English counterpart, the ECB, over plans and overall arrangements for the series.

"Obviously the health and safety of players and staff and public health component is critical. The quarantine arrangements aren't in place, they're not confirmed," Oliver said.

"They obviously exist in terms of general international travel at the moment so that's something we're working through but it is a consideration," he added.
