New Zealand all-rounder Jimmy Neesham is known for his sense of humor. Time and again, Neesham has left netizens in splits with his witty takes.

On Tuesday, the Kiwi cricketer shared a picture of a puppy who was born on 14 July last year. "A year ago today... this little roost arrived! ????❤️", he wrote.

A fan reminded Neesham that it's good to see him sharing such positive posts on such a forgetful day for New Zealand cricket. To which, he once again made a hilarious comment and pretended to forget New Zealand's World Cup 2019 defeat.

On this day, last year, the 2019 Cricket World Cup final was played at Lord's and England emerged as winners by beating New Zealand. The home team was announced winners for hitting more boundaries than New Zealand after the match and the super over ended in a tie.

While England celebrated their maiden World Cup win, New Zealand was disheartened by the narrow loss.
