WATCH- Mayank asks who from current-gen would go topless in Lord's; Ganguly replies

Mayank had asked which of the current players would go topless if they had been part of that historic match.

Sourav Ganguly goes topless at Lord's balcony after India wins NatWest 2002 tri-series finalSourav Ganguly, former India captain and current BCCI President is celebrating his 48th birthday today and his impact on the Indian cricket is being felt even today. Ganguly captained India from 2000-2005 and left an indelible mark on cricket history.

One of the best moments of his captaincy came during the 2002 NatWest tri-series final in England when India faced the hosts at the Lord’s cricket ground. Though India faltered after getting a good start while chasing 326 runs, young guns Yuvraj and Kaif scored brilliant half-centuries and took India to the win in what is hailed as one of the best win in Men in Blue’s ODI history.

However, the occasion became unforgettable as Sourav Ganguly took his shirt off and waved it on the balcony of Lord’s in reply to Andrew Flintoff’s similar gesture after beating India in the ODI series a few months prior to this match.

Sourav Ganguly to discuss India’s poor performance overseas with Kohli and Shastri

Talking about the incident with Mayank Agarwal’s BCCI show 'Dada Opens with Mayank', he was asked by the current India opener, who would take off the shirt if the current crop of players were part of that iconic match at Lord's.

Ganguly left Mayank in splits as he replied, “You all.

"This generation is a completely different generation. I see all of your involvement on Instagram. Obviously, when we were growing up, there were no social media. I love the way how they train with their cameras on. Whether they are doing the bench press or whether they are doing pushups, everything is out there in the public,” Ganguly said.

"So, I would have been surprised if anyone would have not agreed to do so. In my generation, only two were ready to do it - myself and Harbhajan Singh," he added.
