Former West Indies fast bowler and now a well-known commentator Ian Bishop has recently paid rich tribute to legendary Indian batsman and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.
Tendulkar has been the biggest megastar of cricket who gave a nightmare to many bowling greats in his illustrious 24-year-long successful career with his unreliable yet incredibly solid technique and sheer quality with the willow – which often made many to describe him extremely difficult to bowl at.

Apart from being famous for playing shots in all corners of the ground, Tendulkar was rich with every shot in the cricket book – front foot drives, back foot punches, hooks, pulls, paddle sweeps, square-cuts, leg-glances, stepping on the pitch and going downtown that made him best an epitome of batsmanship.
Further, the batting maestro was very skillful against both fast-bowlers and spinners while his free-flowing strokeplay and an incredibly reliable technique – which made his greatest player after Sir Donald Bradman and Vivian Richards and even some leveled him as the best of all-time.
Recently, Bishop has also named the Master Blaster Tendulkar as the most challenging batsman he has ever bowled to at a Star Sports show called ‘Cricket Connected’.
Bishop said: “Sachin Tendulkar is one of the most difficult batsmen to whom I have bowled in my career. He always used to hit in the straight lines.”
Noteworthy, Bishop played nine matches – four Tests and five ODIs – against Tendulkar and managed to get him out thrice with the two dismissals coming when Indian great was nearing a century.
