"People stare and mistake me for Bumrah", says Bumrah's doppelganger from Hyderabad

The doppelganger is an athlete and has represented his state.

The doppelganger of cricketers can easily be spotted during cricket matches. They like visiting stadium with the same facial hair and hairdos. Most of them get caught by the cameraman and become the center of attraction throughout the match.

From Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni to Shikhar Dhawan, we have seen fans with identical looks. Some try to copy them, while few are born with it.

One such look-alike of India pacer Jasprit Bumrah from Hyderabad, Telangana shared his story. His name is Raj Mishra, who has represented his state in the National athletics championship as a walker, is often mistaken as Indian cricketer Bumrah.

“Sometimes, people stare at me or at times call me Bumrah and then later realizing the mistake, they say sorry,” Mishra was quoted as saying by Telangana Today. “In the 2019 nationals I came fifth and I was looking forward to this year’s nationals. But this coronavirus has upset my plans," Mishra stated.

Raj is practicing with 52-year-old, former Hyderabad wicket-keeper Youraj Singh. “It is a tough time in this Covid-19 crisis. But I never miss my training," he added.
