Spent just 21 days with Virat Kohli during the first six months of marriage, reveals Anushka Sharma

Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood diva Anushka Sharma are currently enjoying the best time of their married life, thanks to the nationwide lockdown due to the global Coronavirus pandemic.

Virushka, lovingly called by their fans, is one of the most adorable power couples in the town who barely get any time together because of their hectic professional work schedule.

However, the ongoing COVID-19 lockdown has been giving the happily married couple precious time to enjoying together, spending lots of quality time with each other at home.

In the latest interview with Vogue, Anushka revealed that she hadn’t spent more than 21 days with her cricketer husband during the first six months of their marriage in 2017, as the actress kept busy in her film shoots, while India captain had to travel abroad for his matches.

Terming each and every moment with Kohli as “precious”, the actor-producer further revealed that even when they fly out to meet each other during shoots or matches, one of them is always working.

Anushka told Vogue: “People assume when I’m visiting Virat or when he is visiting me that it’s a holiday, but it’s really not. One person is always working. In fact, during the first six months of our marriage, we spent 21 days together. Yes, I actually calculated. So, when I visit him overseas, it’s to squeeze in that one meal together. It’s a precious time for us.”

Talking about spending quality time together amid the ongoing COVID-19 lockdown, she added, “It’s nice to know that there’s a silver lining in any situation in life... We would have never gotten to spend that much time every day with each other.”

Meanwhile, Kohli told the magazine that he feels blessed to spend his life with the ‘most amazing woman he knows’. The star batsman also feels he has known his loving wife for a lifetime.

He added, “We live each day loving one another. Our relationship has always been about love and only love. We feel like we have known each other for ages, not just a few years.”

Noteworthy, the COVID-19 forced lockdown proved to be a blessing in disguise for Kohli and Anushka as the couple is getting to spend more time together at home and even, they often share sneak peeks of their time together at home from playing cricket on their terrace to binge-watching shows.
