Pakistan is all ready to leave for England for their full tour on June 28, but before that, the PCB got the players named in the squad tested for coronavirus.

The PCB is sending an extended squad of 29 players in case replacements are needed for anyone testing positive during the tour. The team is supposed to play three Tests and T20Is.

They will be quarantined on their arrival in the UK. Currently, England is preparing for the Test series against the West indies, which begins July 8.

Meanwhile, The Pakistan Cricket Board has confirmed three players – Haider Ali, Haris Rauf and Shadab Khan – have tested positive for Covid-19. The players had shown no symptoms until they were tested in Rawalpindi on Sunday.

 The PCB medical panel is in contact with the three who have been advised to immediately go into self-isolation.

Apart from them, Imad Wasim and Usman Shinwari, were also screened in Rawalpindi, and tested negative. The duo will travel to Lahore on 24 June.

The other players and team officials, barring Cliffe Deacon, Shoaib Malik and Waqar Younis, underwent tests at their respective centres in Karachi, Lahore and Peshawar on Monday. 

The results are expected to come by Tuesday and will be announced by PCB via their communication channels.
