Hours after former Bangladesh captain and veteran pacer Mashrafe Mortaza, the left-arm spinner Nazmul Islam and opener Nafees Iqbal have been also reportedly tested positive for Coronavirus.
Mortaza was reportedly unwell for the last couple of days, as he had been quite active with humanitarian efforts, especially in his hometown and constituency Narail to help Bangladesh in the COVID-19 battle and eventually tested positive for the contagious disease on Saturday (June 20).

It is being said that some of Mortaza's family members had tested positive earlier. The 36-year-old, who is also a member of the Bangladesh parliament, is currently in self-isolation at his residence in Dhaka.
On the other hand, The Daily Star newspaper reported that Islam was also tested positive for the contagious disease. He was also heavily involved in distributing food and other supplies in his hometown Narayanganj – one of the worst COVID-19 hit areas in Bangladesh.

The 28-year-old left-arm spinner Islam has played one Test, five ODIs and 13 T20Is since his international debut in 2018 for Bangladesh so far.
Meanwhile, Nafees, former Bangladesh cricketer and elder brother of current ODI captain Tamim Iqbal, has himself confirmed that he has contracted the Coronavirus and is currently in self-isolation at his home in Chittagong. He has been out of the Bangladesh side since 2006.
The right-handed opening batsman, who made his debut in 2003, has represented Bangladesh in 11 Tests and 16 ODIs, scoring 518 and 309 runs respectively.
Noteworthy, the number of COVID-19 cases has crossed 100,000 in Bangladesh with over 1400 deaths with the government planning area-wise lockdown to combat the Coronavirus outbreak in the country.
