Jimmy Neesham congratulates his New Zealand countrymates for getting rid of COVID-19

New Zealand Health Ministry has confirmed there are no new cases.

A piece of positive news seems to be very rare in 2020. But there is one coming from New Zealand. They have successfully defeated Coronavirus and it was confirmed by New Zealand's Health Ministry.

It says the country no longer has any active cases of coronavirus. The last case of the disease was reported on May 22.

Kiwi cricketer Jimmy Neesham was ecstatic with the update and he took Twitter to congratulate his fellow countrymen for the achievement. 

"Coronavirus free NZ! Congratulations everyone. Once again those great kiwi attributes: planning, determination, and teamwork do the job," Neesham said in a tweet.

New Zealand's Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said they don't need restrictions such as social distancing and limits on public gathering anymore.

"We are confident we have eliminated the transmission of the virus in New Zealand for now," she said in a televised address, saying Kiwis had "united in unprecedented ways to crush the virus".
