As the guessing game continues on MS Dhoni's cricket future, former India wicketkeeper-batsman and former India chief selector Kiran More spoke on the possibility of veteran cricketer’s comeback while saying people need to respect the veteran cricketer’s decision to take a break from the game.
One of the most successful captains in cricket's history, Dhoni last played for India in the World Cup semi-final against New Zealand last July since then he has been on self-imposed sabbatical.
Dhoni’s long absence from the game has raised a lot of rumors about his India future but the legendary captain has maintained his silence on the matter. However, he was to return in cricket action with IPL 2020 for Chennai Super Kings, but the tournament got postponed indefinitely due to the Coronavirus pandemic, leaving his fans and experts to further ponder over Dhoni’s future.
While the debate continues over his future, More said an India comeback won't be easy for Dhoni but he can definitely do it if he keeps his mind and body strong while citing the example of Ashish Nehra.
Former keeper further went on to claim that Dhoni was looking in great shape and fully fit while practicing with CSK and was raring to go in the IPL 2020.

Speaking to Sportskeeda, More said, “It's very difficult, it's his call. It's going to be tough, not going to be easy. Mind says you want to, but the body does not allow. Before IPL, he was fit, I saw him in the nets, he was raring to go.
In tennis, guys of 34, 39 are on top of their game. Now if you are disciplined, if you keep your mind and body strong you can make a comeback. Ashish Nehra made a comeback and did very well.”
Calling people to respect Dhoni’s call, the former India stumper said Dhoni’s priority is Indian cricket, and that’s why he stepped down as captain.
More signed off by saying, “I think it is Dhoni's call, he is not available and we need to respect it. The problem with selectors is that if someone is not available, you need to look ahead. He's not been playing international or domestic, Dhoni's priority is Indian cricket. When he was captain, he decided he won't captain and Kohli would. He had respect for the game and the country,”
