Former Pakistan cricketer and West Indies bowling coach Mushtaq Ahmed has made a shocking claim. He said the West Indies cricketers told him India didn't want Pakistan to qualify for the World Cup 2019 semifinals and hence lost deliberately to England in their league stage match.

As per Mushtaq, West Indies skipper Jason Holder, opener Chris Gayle and all-rounder Andre Russell came to him and said India had some purpose behind the loss.

“I was working with the West Indies squad at last year’s World Cup. After India’s loss to England, Jason Holder, Chris Gayle, and Andre Russell said to me 'Mushy, India didn’t want to see Pakistan qualify for the semi-finals,'” Mushtaq told Pakistani news channel ARY Sports.

India's defeat against England is being discussed after Ben Stokes wrote Virat Kohli and co didn't show intent in the chase. Team India's loss affected Pakistan's chances to qualify for the knockout stage.

Ex-Pakistan cricketers have already made shameful comments against India and doubted that the loss was a conspiracy against Sarfaraz Ahmed-led Pakistan side.

Pakistan had to win their last match against Bangladesh by more than 300 runs to qualify. But they could only win the match by 94 runs.
