Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali will have to wait to get specialist treatment for a back injury, as the global travel restrictions due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic is making it difficult for Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to send the bowler abroad for the treatment amid the COVID-19 lockdown.
Almost all the countries are under lockdown with travel restrictions currently in place due to the deadly outbreak of the COVID-19 all over the world – which is forcing the PCB to delay Ali’s abroad treatment.

Dr. Sohail Saleem, who heads the medical board of the PCB, revealed that the Pakistan board had obtained opinions and diagnoses from experts in Australia and South Africa regarding Hasan’s injury, but they are facing difficulties in sending pacer for treatment due to the travel restrictions.
He further added that a decision on where to send Hasan for treatment would be taken by the PCB once the COVID-19 imposed travel restrictions ease out.
As per PTI, Dr. Saleem said: “Rehab and therapy is one option while the other is to have specialized surgery to set this problem right once for all.”
Noteworthy, Hasan has not played for Pakistan since World Cup 2019 but he appeared in some matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020 before breaking down with the back problem.
He has also suffered from a similar problem last September and now he needed permanent treatment to fix the issue permanently.
