Amid the nationwide COVID-19 lockdown, India’s Test specialist Cheteshwar Pujara has made a day of one of his fans affected by the deadly virus with his heartwarming gesture.
The ongoing Coronavirus pandemic has created panic all over the world with the health services struggling to cope with the deadly virus, which has claimed over 3.20 lakh lives so far globally.

like other countries, India is also currently fighting the deadly outbreak of the COVID-19, which continues to wreak havoc across India despite the country is under lockdown since March 22.
The pandemic is taking a dangerous turn in India with the Coronavirus cases crossed 1 lakh mark with over 3100 death in the country so far while 4,894,582 cases recorded till the date internationally.
India’s Ahmedabad is one of the most COVID-19 affected city of Gujarat state in the country with over 8500 Coronavirus cases – from the city, one of Pujara's die-hard fans who has been tested positive for Coronavirus and is being treated in the hospital got to live his dream, as the cricketer took time to make a video call to speak to him.
Pujara posted a screenshot of his video call with his Ahmedabad-based fan named Hardik Shukla who is currently recovering from the COVID-19 infection on Twitter. He is an Assistant Professor, whose Twitter timeline is filled with posts of Pujara.

The 32-year-old batsman has also wished his fan a speedy recovery. Pujara’s heartwarming gesture was lauded by his fans on Twitter. He wrote: “Just spoke to one of my fans from Ahmedabad who is affected by Covid-19. I just wish you a speedy recovery, @hardiks47826252 . Be positive and take care ???????? pic.twitter.com/D0hZZbetbD.”
Noteworthy, Pujara hasn’t played an international game since India’s tour of New Zealand as the COVID-19 outbreak paused all the sporting activities across the world for the past two months.
