The deadly COVID-19 outbreak has forced suspension of all on-field sporting activities. But off the field, while in isolation, former and current cricketers are using social media to continue connecting with fans by posting images, videos and expressing views on different topics.
On Saturday (May 16), legendary batsman Sunil Gavaskar picked a combined India-Pakistan XI out of players that he would love to watch. He mentioned that this may not be the best eleven cricketers that have represented the two sides statistically but these are the players he would like to see playing together.
Gavaskar caught up with former Pakistan skipper Ramiz Raja on Facebook live video chat on Sony Ten Pit Stop and discussed the squad.

For the opening slots, Gavaskar opted to go with Hanif Mohammad and Virender Sehwag. He picked Zaheer Abbas to bat at No. 3 followed by Sachin Tendulkar and Gundappa Viswanath.
Fondly known as the Little Master, Sunil Gavaskar named Kapil Dev and Imran Khan as the premier all-rounders in his dream line-up while Syed Kirmani was the designated wicketkeeper in the team.
Ace pacers Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis and spin legend Abdul Qadir complete the bowling attack of the side.
In the end, Gavaskar said he expects the dressing room to be “hilarious” with this set of players from India and Pakistan.
