Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has requested the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to consider the possibilities of India going ahead with its scheduled limited-overs visit to the Island nation in July.
India is due to travel to Sri Lanka for three ODIs and three T20Is, but those fixtures are now seriously uncertain because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The deadly outbreak has brought the world to a rare standstill and led to cricket's global suspension.
However, with Sri Lanka recovering smoother from the health crisis, cricket authorities in the country remain optimistic of the lucrative India visit to not be affected.
"Sri Lanka Cricket has sent an e-mail to their counterparts at Board of Control for Cricket in India requesting the possibility of resuming bilateral cricket later in July," said a report published in 'The Island'.
An official close to the developments was quoted saying that "they (Indians) would have to follow strict quarantine rules and the series might take place behind closed doors considering the safety of fans."
The BCCI regime, of course, won't be able to commit to the series at this stage, as it awaits greater clarity from the Indian government over travelling advisories in the coming days.
For SLC, as is for all non-Big 3 cricket boards, India's visit is important to its financial coffers, especially during this phase when the body is suffering heavy losses out of game's indefinite suspension.
