One of the leagues he played for is the Indian Premier League, where the Rajasthan Royals picked him in the 2018 auction and he became one of the best possessions there was. However, even the best of the bowlers have their nemesis and Archer revealed one Indian batsman who had troubled him a lot.

During a live podcast with New Zealand spinner Ish Sodhi, who is also the spin consultant for Rajasthan Royals, Archer revealed that KL Rahul is the batsman who has gotten the best of him most of the times.

"Obviously, KL Rahul. He has got me a couple of times when we played Kings XI Punjab. So, I would definitely go with him. I cannot really put my finger on another one. It's just him who has probably got the better of me most of the time," Archer told Sodhi.

Sodhi, who played for RR in IPL 2019, also said that Rahul played their bowlers well. Rahul made 593 runs in 14 games with one unbeaten hundred and six half-centuries. He was named as captain of the Kings XI Punjab franchise for IPL 2020 season.
