South African first-class cricketer Solo Nqweni has been tested positive for the novel Coronavirus, which has brought the entire world to a practical standstill.

Nqweni, who played for South Africa Under-19s in 2012, shared the news through a tweet, in which the all-rounder also mentioned that he has been battling Guillan-Barre Syndrome since last July besides other health issues.
“So last year I got GBS, and have been battling this disease for the past 10 months and I’m only half way through my recovery. I got TB, my liver failed and my kidney failed. Now today I tested positive for corona virus. I don’t understand why all of this is happening to me,” Nqweni wrote on Twitter.
Solo Nqweni, 25, is the third cricketer known to have contracted COVID-19 after Pakistan’s Zafar Sarfraz and Scotland’s Majid Haq.
According to Herald Live, Nqweni is currently in the intensive care unit (ICU) of Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
All the sporting activities have come to a grinding halt in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak, which has claimed more than 260,000 lives globally thus far.
Most of the countries have been in total lockdown for more than a month now to contain the spread of this deadly virus. It has been over 50 days since any form of international cricket was last played.
