The Australian team, for the first time in their history, became the no.1 ranked T20I team in the latest ICC Rankings. They have dethroned Pakistan, who was no.1 since January 2018.

Australia (278) top the list for the first time since the T20I rankings were introduced in 2011. Meanwhile, Pakistan is now placed fourth with 260 points, after spending 27 months as the numero uno team.

England has moved into the second position with 268 points while India is up to one place to third, just two points behind. Afghanistan is down from seventh to 10^th while Bulgaria is the biggest gainer, up 12 places to 51^st in the 84-country list of teams that played the requisite six matches in the past three years.

Meanwhile, World Champions and no.1 ranked ODI team England increased their lead over India from six to eight points. New Zealand remains in third place, three points behind India. The top ten rankings remain unchanged.
