Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar is an inspiration and role model for many, not only for cricketers but also for other sportspersons as well and sprinter Hima Das is one of them.
On Sunday, April 26, Indian sprint queen had an Instagram Live Session with cricketer Suresh Raina, where she revealed that Tendulkar is her role model and the biggest inspiration. She also said meeting the cricket icon was the best moment of her life.

Hima told Raina in during Instagram chat, “My role model is Sachin Tendulkar, I still remember talking to him when he invited me to his home. When I saw him, I ended up crying and sir consoled me. It was the best moment for me. Meeting your role model is a big moment for everyone and no one can forget that.”
Meanwhile, India’s top sprinter has also picked the three-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champion Chennai Super Kings as her favorite IPL team, while revealing her admiration for MS Dhoni and Raina.
The 20-year old Assam girl further said she likes CSK only because of Dhoni and Raina during the live session. During the chat, she very nicely asked Raina to come and visit Assam while explaining the beauty of the Indian state.

Hima, known as 'Dhing Express', told Raina, “I like CSK because of Dhoni bhaiya and you. Assam is very beautiful, it is very green due to the tea gardens,”
Noteworthy, Das, who was recently roped by German Brand Adidas as their brand ambassador, had won five gold medals last year with final at the Nove Mesto Athletics Meet on July 20, 2019. She also won gold in 200m in Tabor Athletic Meet.
