India's 1983 World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev sported a new look in lockdown and his pictures were all over social media.

While fans compared him with Bollywood actors, the veteran cricketer revealed the inspirations behind his look were MS Dhoni and Sir Viv Richards.

“I had seen Vivian Richard’s look on Instagram. He’s my hero, so I thought ‘Why not?’ let me follow my hero. I love Dhoni also. He is also my hero. After the 2011 World Cup, he had shaved off all his hair too. So I decided one day I will also do the same. Now I got the chance do and I did,” Kapil Dev told Sports Tak.

The official Twitter account of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) shared the video and Viv got to know about his statement.

Responding to the post, the West Indies great wrote Kapil found the right inspiration. "Hahaha, You took the right inspiration my friend @therealkapildev", joked Viv Richards.
