Pakistan cricketer Asad Shafiq believes that once the lockdown due to Coronavirus is over, it will be tough for cricketers to get back to their skill levels as they are not getting enough practice.
The Coronavirus has over 10,000 cases in Pakistan and over 2.6 million around the world. As the trend is still rising, the lockdowns are likely to be enforced for quite some time now.
In a video conferencing chat organized by the Pakistan Cricket Board, Shafiq spoke about these issues which no one can do anything about at the moment.

Shafiq said, “It will take time to be at that skill level which we were before the lockdown. We are not being able to work on skill sets. For that you need nets, bowlers and that atmosphere which is missing. We are all at our homes. See fitness, we are all working on. But for those skill sets as a cricketer, it will take time to come back.”
Pakistani fans were unable to witness international cricket live in the country for a decade and the time just looked right when a few international series were conducted with flying colors. Shafiq spoke about the passion of the Pakistan fans towards cricket and that cricket behind closed doors in the country won’t be the same.
“I am playing for the last 10 years but I haven’t been able to play in Pakistan. Now we saw the passion among fans which was great to see,” the 34-year-old said.
