Brett Lee and Shoaib Akhtar were two of the fastest bowlers of their generation and can be easily considered as one of the fastest bowlers in the history of cricket – who terrorized the batsmen around the world during their playing days with the sheer speed of their deliveries.
Well, the two greats of the pace bowling had a mutual admiration as they often seen praising each other for their mastery with the ball and even recently former Pakistan pacer shared a clip from a popular Indian television show – The Kapil Sharma Show, where the Aussie legend can be seen talking about facing Shoaib in his prime to laud Lee for his scary bowling.
In this video clip, the show’s host and comedian Kapil Sharma asked his guest Lee if he ever got scared playing a bowler and the former Australian fast bowler admitted that he was afraid of playing all the bowlers while batting and "even the spinners."
Lee also shared the experience of facing Shoaib, “So, I’m out batting and I’m sweaty and nervous.”
He said while pointing a finger to his forehead to mimic Shoaib: “My nickname is ‘Binga’ and I suddenly hear ‘Binga, Binga’. I look up, and there’s Shoaib, about 75 meters back. He goes ‘I’m going to kill you’,”
Therefore, Shoaib was indicating that he was going to aim for Lee’s head but the ball went to his toes and the Aussie said with the audience in splits, “It’s hit me straight on the foot. I’ve appealed to the umpire - ‘Howzzat! That’s gotta be out, surely?’ And you know what happened? That silly Australian umpire said not out.”

Meanwhile, the Rawalpindi Express, Shoaib, also lauded Lee for being a terror for many batsmen during his playing days. He wrote on Twitter: “Binga being very humble there honestly. @BrettLee_58 himself was quite a terror on the field for the batsmen of that era.”
