With the situation getting worse day by day in India due to the ongoing outbreak of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), former Indian pacer Irfan Pathan has yet again tried to spread awareness about the deadly virus through the cricket analogy and urged all to stay indoors during the lockdown.
Using some cricket analogies, Pathan appealed to all the citizens to make sure they follow the government directives and stay at home, as well as practice social-distancing in order to stay safe and away from being targeted by the life-threatening COVID-19 virus.
Taking to Twitter on Tuesday (April 14), the former all-rounder has masterly used his cricketing skills to keep the hopes of his countrymen and boost their morale amid the ongoing COVID-19 crisis after the government extended the lockdown by another 20 days to tackle the pandemic in the nation.
Pathan compared the coronavirus to a bowling machine, saying everyone needs to avoid the wide deliveries outside off-stump to survive the COVID-19 pandemic to win the battle against the ongoing health crisis, while in the cricketer’s words “save your wicket to save the Test match for our country”.
He wrote on Twitter, “The #coronavirus is like a bowling machine. It is controlled and bowling outside the off stump. As long as we aren’t touching the away going deliveries we will be fine and eventually, we will save our wicket and save the Test match for our country... #stayhome #lockdown,”
The disease COVID-19 goes from bad to worse in the country as the COVID-19 cases jumped to 11000 with 377 death while infected around 19 million people and killed 1,26,681 peoples globally so far.
