As India continues to fight the ongoing health crisis caused by the global Coronavirus pandemic, Delhi batsman Nitish Rana asked all to not lose hearts saying humanity will win soon against the dangerous and fast-spreading COVID-19 virus.
On Tuesday, April 14, the Indian Government has extended the 21-day nationwide lockdown till May 3 after the COVID-19 cases jumped 10000-mark across the country to tackle the global pandemic.
All sporting events came to a halt all over the world due to the ongoing outbreak of the COVID-19 which has infected millions of people and claimed over 1 lakh lives so far globally.
If the COVID-10 outbreak didn’t happen, Rana would have been seen in action for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 – which was previously postponed till the April 15 but the tournament will now be pushed back further with the extension in lockdown till May 3.
Well, KKR batsman Rana, like the rest of the cricket fraternities, has tried to spread positivity amid the ongoing COVID-19 crisis with his latest social media post where he is hoping for a sunrise soon to defeat the darkness created by the deadly virus across the world.
Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, Rana has shared a beautiful picture of a stadium with an encouraging message while hoping that he would be able to play for the KKR in the IPL 2020.
He wrote: “Don't lose your heart, Sun will rise again. This won't last forever. #indiafightscorona See you soon @KKRiders.”
