Murali Vijay has been one of the stars of the Indian Premier League and has served the Indian team in Test format for a long time as a reliable opener. He is part of the Chennai Super Kings IPL team and was prepping for the upcoming season.
However, with the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic, PM Narendra Modi, on April 14, 2020, announced that the lockdown which had started from March 24 and which was supposed to end today, has been extended till May 3, 2020. With this announcement, the start of IPL 2020 will most probably be postponed as well.

Therefore, M Vijay was hosted by anchor Rupa Ramani on the CSK Instagram Live chat and he shared a lot about himself and playing for the Chennai franchise all these years.
One person, he talked about fondly was his CSK and former India captain MS Dhoni. He called the wicketkeeper-batsman a calming influence.
"In England, the partnership between myself and MS (Dhoni) was phenomenal. He made me calm. We were 4 wickets down and the way he handled himself and made me raise my game, we were feeding off each other. MS is always a calming factor in the middle. Like he comes up with his own persona. You can describe through words. We don't even talk much in the middle, it's just eye to eye contact," Vijay said about the duo’s batting partnerships during the 2014 England tour.
He was also asked about two people he wanted to have dinner with and Vijay named his former opener partner Shikhar Dhawan and Australia’s star women cricketer Ellyse Perry.
"Ellyse Perry. I want to have dinner with her. She is so beautiful. And Shikhar Dhawan any day. He is a fun guy. Just that he will speak Hindi and I will be conversing in Tamil," Murali Vijay said.
Talking about his favorite batting partner in cricket, Vijay surprisingly picked dashing opener Virender Sehwag.
"My favorite batting partner is Virender Sehwag. When he is there, you will automatically score runs. He is my favorite opener along with Gautam Gambhir and Wasim Jaffer. They are all greats of the game. Obviously, I followed their footsteps. I was in the line. So it was a great opportunity for me to share the dressing room with Virender Sehwag and pick his brains," Vijay said.
