Sachin Tendulkar interacts with 12,000 doctors on the subject of sport injuries

The legend shared his experiences of injuries over the years.

Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar suffered numerous injuries during his 24-year-long international cricket career. He had to fight against some career-threatening injuries like the tennis elbow, fractured toe and a lot of back spasms during some of his long innings in hot conditions around the world.

Tendulkar has always been keen to share his knowledge and he believed that his experience with sports injuries would help a lot of doctors who are eager to learn in the lockdown period. The former cricketer talked to 12,000 doctors in a webinar session conducted by Dr. Sudhir Warrier.

Dr. Warrier was helped by Team India physio Dr. Nitin Patel who has been in the field for a lot of years now and has dealt with plenty of sports injuries in his career.

In the webinar session, it is learnt that Tendulkar not only gave advice to the doctors but also thanked the medical fraternity for their services to mankind.

During the chat, the young orthopedic doctors got to know how the requirements and treatment outcomes of athletes are different from regular patients.
