Former India skipper MS Dhoni has not played for India since team India’s semifinal exit from World Cup 2019 against New Zealand. He then missed some of the further series as he went to serve the Indian Army.

Even the coach of Indian team Ravi Shastri said that Dhoni’s comeback to the national team will depend on his performance in IPL 2020. But with a cloud of uncertainty hovering over IPL’s future due to Coronavirus pandemic, there have been rumors about MS not playing for India ever again.

Even former India cricketer turned commentator while talking to Ramiz Raja in a YouTube video said that he feels that the 38-year-old may have decided to bid adieu to his career.

Dhoni has not told anyone anything yet. He hasn’t called it a day and might play in the IPL. But I feel he played his last game (for India) in the 2019 World Cup. He hasn’t been dropped, he hasn’t made himself available and mostly won’t play for India again,” he said.

Chopra also went on to add that he won’t play unless someone like Sourav Ganguly, Virat Kohli or Ravi Shastri ask him to play in the upcoming T20 World Cup.

He won’t play again unless someone like Sourav (Ganguly), Virat Kohli or Ravi Shastri ask him to play in the World T20. I feel he’s made up his mind that he doesn’t need a farewell match. He’s someone who will go away without making noise,” the 42-year-old said.
