Former Australia cricketer Shane Watson decided to start a podcast with ex-cricketers so that his fans could enjoy the knowledge from the greats. In this time of pandemic when there is no sports event going on, Watson wanted to put out some free content for fans.

Watson managed to get sir Viv Richards for the podcast, which is his first one ever. In the interaction, Viv told fans the reason why he never wore a helmet no matter which bowler he faced.

Richards said his passion for cricket was so high that he was willing to die on the cricket field playing for West Indies. "The passion for the game I felt was such that I wouldn't mind dying playing something that I love. If this is what I chose and I go down here, what better way is there to go," Richards told former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson in a podcast.

Richards' inspiration was all those athletes who never hesitated to risk their lives for sports. "I have looked at other sportsmen and women who I have a lot of respect for doing it to an extreme level," said Richards.

"I see a guy driving a Formula 1 racing car, what could be more dangerous than that?" said Richards, to which Watson quipped: "Facing 150kph without a helmet?".
