Indian cricketers Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh were criticized by a lot of Indian fans after they urged their fans to donate for Shahid Afridi's charity foundation which is doing some good work in their fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.

But, former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar felt that it is inhuman to criticize the two as according to him it was not about any country or religion but it was all about humanity.

It was inhuman to criticize them. It is not about countries or religion at the moment, it is about humanity,” he said.

Shoaib Akhtar says "Coronavirus pandemic will leave more people bankrupt than dead"

Akhtar then talked about the time he spent in India during the T20 World Cup as a commentator which was back in 2016.

I am forever grateful for the love I have received from the people of India. For the first time I am revealing this, whatever I used to earn from India, I made a significant amount there, thirty percent of it, I used to distribute among the low-income staff who used to work with me in the TV,” the right-arm pacer said.

The 44-year-old then remembered the time when he visited the slums of Dharavi and Sion in Mumbai where he even handed out financial help to elder women there.

From drivers, runners to my security guys. I took care of a lot of people. I was like if am earning from this country, I have to help my colleagues also. I also remember visiting slums of Dharavi and Sion in the wee hours to meet people I worked with,” the Rawalpindi pacer added.
