Mumbai Police uses MS Dhoni's 2011 World Cup winning shot to spread awareness against Coronavirus

Mumbai Police's social media account is popular for spreading awareness with the help of trending topics and memes. On 2nd April, India celebrated the 9th anniversary of World Cup 2011 win.

The iconic picture of MS Dhoni hitting the winning hit has become immortal in memories of Indian cricket fans. Mumbai Police used the picture to spread the message against Coronavirus.

The first picture mentioned the date 2 April 2011 with the message: “We sat at home till India successfully chased its target”. The second picture mentioned the date 2 April 2020 with the message: “We're sitting at home, waiting for India to chase our target out”.

The tweet caption read, “India, let's finish it off in style!”.
