Virat Kohli rated his innings against Kings XI Punjab in 2016 as the most fun innings he has ever played on Instagram live with Kevin Pietersen. The Royal Challengers Bangalore captain had smashed 113 runs in just 50 balls.

When Pietersen asked him to name his most fun innings, a question which is rarely asked, Virat said the knock against KXIP qualifies for this. Kohli added that he didn't feel like getting out. No delivery gave him a fear of dismissal.

"Against Kings XI in the IPL, I think it was a 13 or 15 over the game and I got 113. That was one of the days I felt like I was connecting everything, I've never felt that way ever," he said.

Interestingly, the match was only for 15 overs and Kohli still managed to score a hundred. He got out on the last ball of 14th over, but until then the damage was done. With him, his opening partner Chris Gayle scored 73 runs off just 32 deliveries. They both had put up a partnership of 147 runs in 11 overs.

RCB had won that game by 82 runs (DL method). KXIP could only get 120/9 in reply.

Kohli also talked about the eagerness to win the IPL title for fans. "When you have the biggest players who have played for rob there is going to be a lot of attention on the team. We are always going to be more focus.

"We have reached 3 finals but haven’t won a single one. Have reached 3 semis but those things are irrelevant till the time we don’t win the title. We have talked about it as well. We actually deserve to win an IPL title, to be honest.

"I've realized that to go after something so badly, it keeps running away from you. It's just that added pressure of thinking that this is the season, this will be the year, that has blown us apart," Kohli told Pietersen.

The RCB skipper also talked about the IPL tournament back in 2009 when the venue was shifted to South Africa because of the election in India.

"Right from 2009-10, we had amazing fun at RCB. We hit off well from Day 1. You came in as the big KP a star. I remember all those days playing with Jacques (Kallis), Mark (Boucher), Anil bhai, Robin (Uthappa)... We had a gun team back then. Manish Pandey came on board and hit a century at Centurion Park.

"You also cannot forget about Jesse Ryder and Roelof van der Merwe. They were the highlights of that season in 2009," Kohli joked with Pietersen.
