Indian skipper Virat Kohli had a candid conversation with Englishman Kevin Pietersen today (2 April) on Instagram live. Kohli talked about India’s situation during this nationwide lockdown due to this COVID-19 pandemic.

We have to be grateful. People are going through so much these days. It’s tough to watch. We are at home. It’s been difficult. It’s been intense. All over the world. We do have space. We went away to a farm before everything got intense,” Kohli said.

"Our smile is fake, but we are real," says Virat Kohli posting a picture with wife Anushka Sharma

The 31-year-old then talked about how this is the longest time he has spent with his wife Anushka Sharma.

It is the longest we have spent together in one place since we have been married. We have never been in one place for so long at the same time. It’s bizarre. It’s not a good thing to single out this as an opportunity to spend time. But it is what it is. We have to be positive and we are being cautious. These are strange times,” the right-hander said.

The Delhi-based batsman then said that he is happy that he is home in these times and not stuck in some other part of the world.

I am glad we are at home. We are stuck in one place. If we were in some country on some tour, it would have been difficult. All of us stuck in a different part of the world,” he said.

Virat along with his wife Anushka have jointly donated INR 3 Crores to support the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund and Chief Minister’s (Maharashtra) Relief Fund to fight against Coronavirus.
