Ishant Sharma donates to the Prime Minister's relief fund; urges people to do the same

Ishant had supported the 21-day lockdown by Indian government.

India cricketer Ishant Sharma donated to the Prime Minister relief fund. He took to Twitter to make the announcement and also urged fans to donate and stand together in this fight against Coronavirus.

The fast bowler added that every donation matters and it's time to come forward for the nation. "In the light of the current #COVID-19 Crisis, @PratimaSinghBB and I are humbled to contribute to the #PMCARES fund!", wrote Ishant about his donation.

"All of us stand together in battling the global pandemic! We did our part and request you to do the same. Small donations make a big difference! #IndiaFightsCorona," he added.

Ishant had extended his support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 21-day lockdown. Lauding the much-needed step, he wrote, "Great step taken by our PM @narendramodi Ji. It was needed! Time flies and so will the 21 days. I urge each one of you to play the role of a responsible citizen because together we can! So please कोई,रोड पर,ना निकले. Stay in and encourage your friends and families too! #COVID2019."
