Michael Slater excited to meet his kids after "surviving on phone calls" during COVID-19 isolation

As the entire world battles the ongoing novel Coronavirus pandemic, the deadly outbreak of the COVID-19 virus has brought the entire world to a standstill, as well as, has taken a toll on sports calendars across the globe, leaving all the sportspersons with an unexpected break.

The outbreak of the deadly COVID-19, which has claimed over 40,000 lives globally so far, has also forced many sportspersons as well as several persons relating to the game to be in 14-day isolation and former Australia cricketer and sports presenter Michael Slater is one of them.

Several countries have mandated for all the athletes and sports staff to be in quarantine for 14-days arriving back from the COVID-19 affected countries.

The 50-year-old, who played 74 Tests and 42 One Day Internationals for Australia from 1993 to 2001, was also sent in isolation after he returned from Pakistan, where he went as a commentator in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020 – which was recently canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Well, Slater has now to spent only one more day in isolation and then he can meet his family. The commentator is very excited to meet his kids as the Aussie on Thursday, April 2, went on social media and expressed his happiness about meeting them as his isolation period set to end on Friday.

Taking to Instagram, Slater shared a picture of himself with his three kids and revealed they have survived on phone calls throughout the isolation period and now he is finally going to give them a huge Daddy squeeze after one more day in isolation.

He wrote on the photo-sharing app, “One more Day of Isolation and then I can finally see my beautiful kids. We've survived on phone calls but I can't wait to hang and give them a huge Daddy squeeze! #cherubs”
