Simon Doull includes one Indian in his All-Time XI to watch for the rest of his life

Doull picked a pretty aggressive side that would compete in all three formats.

Simon Doull picked an XI that he would like to watch for the rest of his life and included one Indian in the team.

International Cricket Council (ICC) asked all the cricket fans in the world to post their favorite XI who they would like to watch for the rest of their lives.

Former New Zealand cricketer Simon Doull replied to the tweet with his XI which included only one Indian. He picked Virender Sehwag as the dashing opener in his side. His opening partner is Doull’s countryman and another dashing opener Brendon McCullum. Very few teams have their openers who gave scored triple centuries at the international level.

He then picked another Kiwi, Martin Crowe, to play at No. 3 followed by the West Indian legend Brian Lara. At No. 5, he picked yet another West Indian great Sir Vivian Richards. This site already has a huge aggression factor and it just keeps increasing as the batting order goes on.

He picked England legend, Sir Ian Botham, to bat at No. 6 and bowl his brilliant pieces of pace bowling. Doull then went ahead and picked Adam Gilchrist as the wicket-keeper of his side batting at No. 7 and striking the ball over the boundary ropes irrespective of the format of the game.

His fast bowling line-up consisted of Pakistan’s Wasim Akram, New Zealand’s Sir Richard Hadlee, and the late West Indian Malcolm Marshall. Nobody would like to face that bowling line-up. Even if somebody manages to get through their fiery spells, the only spinner they would get to face is the most successful leg-spinner ever, Shane Warne.

Simon Doull’s XI: Virender Sehwag, Brendon McCullum, Martin Crowe, Brian Lara, Sir Viv Richards, Sir Ian Botham, Adam Gilchrist, Wasim Akram, Sir Richard Hadlee, Shane Warne, Malcolm Marshall.
