Bangladesh's Mosaddek Hossain helps underprivileged people amid Coronavirus lockdown

He distributed food to almost 200 underprivileged families and clothes to needy.

With the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic continue to hit the world hard, several cricketers all around the world have been coming forward to aid the struggle against the viral and dreaded outbreak.

Due to this ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, many countries were forced to implement lockdowns, and the underprivileged section of the society is finding it really tough to make the ends meet was severely affected by the lockdown, which is currently the best option to avoid the spread of this virus.

While several celebrities including cricket fraternities are coming out in support of the economically weaker section of the society, Bangladesh all-rounder Mosaddek Hossain is the latest one who joined others in the noble cause in this hour of crisis due to the global coronavirus outbreak.

Noteworthy, Bangladesh is also now coming into the grip of this deadly COVID-19 virus with the government extending the nationwide lockdown till April 11.

Well, in this ongoing crisis-hit times, Mosaddek has extended his supporting hands for the underprivileged and needy people in Bangladesh, as he has taken the responsibility of 200 poor families who became the victim of the ongoing lockdown in the country.

Even the all-rounder himself took to the streets to help the needy, as he was seen distributing food packets and essential goods to the poor in Mymensingh.

As the daily wage earners are most affected by the pandemic, Hossain has also urged others to come forward and help the needy in this time of crisis. He told The Independent, “Be well everyone and hope to get rid of this epidemic. I’m trying to my level best and urge everyone to help the poor people as per your ability.”

Meanwhile, Mosaddek also posted a message on his Facebook account along with the number of pictures to highlight the plight of the poor peoples, who seemed to have been affected the most due to this COVID-19 outbreak.

He wrote on Facebook: “The entire world has been plagued by the Covid-19. No one has ever observed such a crisis to our beloved homeland over the years. About 6 crore people in poor country who are helpless and poor, have been going through this troubling situation.”

The all-rounder’s post further reads: “It’s our responsibility to stand beside them by this time. I feel very fortunate for being able to stand beside the needy people of Mymensingh. Let’s do it who are capable. Do something for our society.”

Noteworthy, the Bangladesh team players have recently announced to donate half of their salaries, accumulating to taka 26 lakh for the poor and underprivileged people.
