MS Dhoni, coming from a small town, did aim to play for India, but he never thought about he would be as big personality as he is now. 

Former India Test batsman and domestic cricket great Wasim Jaffer had an interaction with his followers on Twitter. He revealed about his interaction with Dhoni while playing for India.

When asked to name his favorite memory with Dhoni, Jaffer said it is from the first or second year of his career when the Jharkhand cricketer had only thought about getting settled in Ranchi with as much as 30 lakh in his bank account.

"In his 1st or 2nd year in the Indian team, I remember he said, he wants to make 30lakhs from playing cricket so he can live peacefully rest of his life in Ranchi," he wrote.

Now, Dhoni is among the highest-paid athletes, as per Forbes. His net worth is estimated to be around $111 million (Rs 800 crore).
