Stuart Broad reveals his three childhood heroes; all from three different nations

Broad named no Englishmen as his childhood cricketing inspiration.

Glenn McGrath and Shaun Pollock

England cricketer Stuart Broad named his three childhood cricketing heroes on Twitter. 'The Cricketer' magazine posted a tweet asking their followers to name three favorite cricketers while growing up.

Broad joined the thread and named Australia's Glenn McGrath, South Africa's Shaun Pollock, and West Indies' Brian Lara as his heroes.

The English bowler used to be a good batter before the unfortunate incident on the field against India when a bouncer from Varun Aaron broke his nose. He hasn't been the same since then.

But Broad did improve with the ball after another mentally affecting incident against India. He was smashed six sixes in an over by Yuvraj Singh, but the pacer kept improving after it.

The speedster is currently at number 13 in the ICC Test rankings. The 33-year-old has 485 Test wickets, and with the bat, he has smashed a hundred and 12 fifties.
