WATCH - CSK and DC take part in Janta Curfew; pay tribute to heroes fighting the COVID-19

As India continues to fight against the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed for the countrywide “Janta Curfew” on Sunday (March 22) to pay tribute to the heroes fighting the global pandemic as well as minimize the spread of the virus in the country.

The PM Modi’s initiate has received overwhelmed support form one and all in India, as the entire nation came up together in this fight and has shown extensive support to the “Janta Curfew” – which was scheduled from 7 AM to till 9 PM on Sunday amid the outbreak of deadly Coronavirus is taking a horrifying turn in the country with COVID-19 cases increasing to near 400 on Monday (Marc 23).

Well, the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises – Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Delhi Capitals (DC) also took a part in the Janta Curfew to pay tribute to the corona warriors who are fighting against coronavirus pandemic across the world.

The coronavirus crisis has been affecting the entire world immensely with the death figures crossed over 13000 while the deadly COVID-19 infected over 3 Lakh peoples globally till the date.

Meanwhile, the CSK has shared a video on Twitter where veterans like MS Dhoni, Harbhajan Singh, Kedar Jadhav, and Murali Vijay can be seen celebrating together, while DC also came out with the video of their Indian players like Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Ishant Sharma and others who seen clapping to applaud the heroes fighting against the COVOD-19 and trying to save lives in the current crisis.

The CSK captioned the video on Twitter: “Let’s show our appreciation to all those toiling night and day to keep us all alive, literally. Come let’s #WhistlePoduAt5!”

On the other hand, the DC said wrote: “Let us all come together and give a round of applause to the heroes who are working in this pandemic in keeping the world safe! It’s time to let your cheers, echo out loud @narendramodi.”

Noteworthy, the IPL 2020 has been suspended till April 15 due to the coronavirus pandemic with many cricketing and sporting events that have been canceled because of this crisis.
