Sri Lanka Cricket board postpones all domestic cricket to avoid spread of Coronavirus

There is no competitive cricket being played anywhere in the world at the moment.

The Sri Lankan cricket board has postponed all its domestic country to avoid the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic.

After the Indian, English, South African, Australian, West Indies, New Zealand, and Pakistan cricket boards postponed all cricketing activities in their countries, the Sri Lankan board has also officially announced that there will be no cricket played in the country.

Given that all leagues, domestic tournaments, and bilateral series have been postponed or canceled, there is no competitive cricket being played anywhere in the world at the moment. Even cricket in Sri Lanka had been stopped but the official announcement had not come.

Most recently, England’s tour of Sri Lanka was postponed and the visitors had flown back home after a couple of warm-up games.

Sri Lanka Cricket posted from their official Twitter account, “Taking into consideration the prevailing health (COVID-19 Pandemic) situation in the country, the Tournament Committee of the SLC decided to postpone the conducting of all Domestic Tournaments, until further notice. #SLCDomestic
