Brad Hogg picks the best between Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers

Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers are two of the legends of this modern era, as well as, considered as serious gentlemen of cricket for their sportsmen spirit besides their incredible batting styles.

The two iconic players have the great fan following across the globe and are two of the most loved sporting celebrities in the world, not only because of their on-field antics but also off the field as well.

However, Indian captain and South African legend – who shares great bond thanks to their time in the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are the two different batsmen, while one is currently playing, whereas the other retired from international cricket in 2018 – but still there is a debate that who is best between Kohli and De Villiers.

While the dashing right-hander is known for his technical batting, as he plays conventional strokes from cricket dictionary, the Mr. 360 hit the ball in any part of the ground he wants as well as some outrageous strokes that are never seen before; though they both end up scoring incredible runs respectively.

Well now, former Australian cricketer Brad Hogg has come up with his verdict over the long-standing debate about who is the best amongst the two.

Recently, a Twitter fan asked Hogg: “Considering AB still being in such a supreme form after retirement and Virat too at peak of his game, Who do you guys think is a better batsman between AB & Kohli.”

As both Kohli and De Villiers have been successful at the international arena and also in franchise cricket, while the Indian is an active player whereas the Proteas batting superstar in a supreme form with the bat even after retiring from the game in 2018 – which makes it difficult for everyone to pick best of them.

However, the former left-arm chinaman spinner was clear with his choice, as he picked Kohli over De Villiers given his states at the moment.

Hogg wrote, “Kohli, stars (stats) back it up.”
