The spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) around the world has impacted all the sporting events besides the human being with many cricketing events canceled indefinitely to force the players for the holiday, as the healthcare system around the world directed the citizens to just stay at home.

Well, it would not be certainly easy for an athlete to sit at home and obviously for the veteran Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim, but there is no choice in this critical situation because of the global coronavirus pandemic as nothing important than lives at the moment.

After Australia, New Zealand, and England, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has also suspended all forms of the game including the Dhaka Premier League indefinitely after the COVID-19 positive cases crossed 300-mark with 25 deaths in Bangladesh so far.

However, Mushfiqur appreciated the BCB’s decision but says his day is incomplete without practice as he plans to gym and do running in order to stay fit amidst the deadly outbreak which has claimed over 10000 lives and infected over 2.4 Lakh peoples till the date.

Mushfiqur was quoted as saying in BDcrictime: “I am thinking of how to stay without batting. I’ll do the gym and running Insha Allah.”

At this point in time, people all around the world have been advised to stay indoors and public distancing to help the healthcare system and authorities to prevent the spread of this deadly virus.

However, Rahim is determined to find a way of training all by himself, as he signed off by saying: “I don’t know what others will do, but I’ll do it myself.”
