Former India cricketer Sunil Gavaskar feels it will be highly unlikely to see MS Dhoni return in action again for India.
The Indian Premier League (IPL), which would have paved way for Dhoni's comeback to the side, is currently in danger of getting canceled because of COVID-19. Currently, IPL is suspended till April 15.
Although there are very fewer chances of Dhoni's return, Gavaskar wants to see Dhoni getting included in the T20 World Cup squad.

“I would certainly like to see Dhoni in India’s World Cup squad but it’s highly unlikely to happen. The team has moved on. Dhoni is not someone to make big announcements so I reckon he would silently retire from the game,” Gavaskar told news daily Dainik Jagran.
India's head coach Ravi Shastri had said Dhoni can return to the side if he plays well in the Indian Premier League. The 38-year-old hasn't played any competitive cricket match since July last year.
Another ex-India cricketer, Wasim Jaffer believes the former India captain should find a place in the World Cup squad if he is fit enough.
“If Dhoni is fit and in the form, I think we can't look beyond him as he'll be an asset behind the stumps and also lower down the order. It'll take the pressure of keeping off Rahul and India can play Pant as a batsman too if they want a lefty. #Dhoni #MSDhoni #IPL2020,” he tweeted.
Currently, it's tough for Dhoni to fit into the Indian squad. With KL Rahul performing taking the wicket-keeper batsman role, and Rishabh Pant being his back-up, including MS in the side is a bit problematic considering he doesn't have the same potential now.
